PCTV Systems from Braunschweig offers w-lantv 50n, a complete solution to transfer DVB-T (TV/RADIO) wirelessly inside your home WLAN network. The product contains a DVB-T Stick, WLAN dongle and a WLAN access point where the DVB-T Stick can be plugged in. The product is also shipped with TVCenter 6 software for playing TV on a PC or notebook where the WLAN dongle is connected. The w-lantv 50n is now available for 129.99 Euro (UVP D/A; CH 189,95 CHF).
DVB-T TV and radio is very popular however you may not be able to get optimal DVB-T reception where the PC or notebook are in use. This problem is solved by the w-lantv 50n making DVB-T on PC a flexible reality without losing quality.
The DVB-T-WLAN sending station for your home is based on a simple idea: The w-lantv 50n access point (802.11n with WPA, WPA2, WPS or WEP 64/128 Bit encryption) is placed in your house in a location with good DVB-T reception. A PCTV nanoStick Solo 73e SE DVB-T receiver is connected to the access point giving the DVB-T input that is distributed wireless in your home on a freely selectable WLAN channel. This input is then received at the PC, notebook or netbook with the PCTV USB dongle (WLAN-Stick) that is included. After a few software installation steps, you are ready to watch or record TV independently from the access point giving you the best DVB-T signal strength where your computer is operating, you can even use this with Windows 7 (MediaCenter) too. The WLAN dongle can also be used as a normal wireless network device on PC, notebook or netbook when not in use with w-lantv 50n.
TVCenter 6 software included
The display is done by the latest TVCenter 6 software version 6.2 with a variety of TV and recording functions, such as: TV in fullscreen and scalable window, schedule recordings by Electronic Program Guide (EPG) including series recordings, timeshifting to pause live TV and continue playback later and a selection of different video formats (MPEG-1 MPEG-2, MPEG-4 H.264 (AVC) and DivX) are supported. Additionally the included PCTV nanoStick Solo 73e SE (USB 2.0 TV-Tuner-Stick for DVB-T) can also be used directly in a PC, notebook or netbook with the TVCenter 6 Software as a DVB-T tuner.
